About Us

Locko Amateur Dramatic Society (the LADS) was established in 1990 and is dedicated to presenting quality theatre for the local community.

We perform two main productions each year, from comedy to tragedy, drama to farce. See our ‘productions‘ page to see the wide range of performances we’ve put on over the years.

We rehearse / meet every Monday* at Spondon Village Hall, Sitwell Street in Spondon, Derby. Our productions are put on within the hall, which we transform into a theatre for the week.

We are always on the look out for new members who are interested in anything to do with theatre, not only acting with our friendly and talented cast but also in roles backstage. See the ‘join us’ page for more details on the types of roles available, the rehearsal regime and how we arrange performances.

*Please note: Every second Monday of the month we meet at St Werburgh’s Church Hall, Spondon.
